Giro d’Italia 2023 Stage 11: Preview, how to watch, TV and live stream details, route map and profile for route

Stage 11 of the 2023 Giro d’Italia is the longest stage of this year’s race, a 219km route from Camaiore to Tortona.

Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers) will wear the leader’s maglia rosa for a second time following the shock withdrawal of Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-Quick Step) after a positive Covid-19 test. The Welshman survived his first day in pink, a wet and choatic run to Viareggio on Tuesday, and should find life easier on Wednesday.

Thomas leads the GC ahead of Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) at 2″ and Ineos team-mate Tao Geoghegan Hart at 5″.

The trio are unlikely to be chasing the win on Stage 11, which features a few climbs but could be one for the sprinters to contest with a long descent into the finish in Tortona. A day for Mark Cavendish (Astana Qazaqstan), perhaps?
