Andy Murray says he has ‘things to work on’ after Holger Rune loss in exhibition at Hurlingham Club ahead of Wimbledon
Andy Murray got a clearer picture of how he is shaping up for Wimbledon as he lost to Holger Rune in straight sets in an exhibition match at the Hurlingham Tennis Classic.
His preparations continued on Wednesday as he fell to a 6-4 6-4 loss to world No. 6 Rune.

“It’s great to play these sorts of matches a few days out from Wimbledon,” Murray, 36, said afterwards.
“He’s one of the top players in the world, so you get to see exactly where your game is at.
“There are things to work on but it keeps you very sharp.
“I would have liked to have done a little bit better but I can start from here and build on this.”
Murray – who isn’t seeded at Wimbledon – allowed four chances to break slip from his grasp and his pain was compounded with a double fault allowing Rune to take the lead.
The Dane got the break in the first game of the second set to take control of the match, serving out for victory in one hour and 40 minutes.
A recent run of 10 consecutive wins as he lifted titles in Surbiton and Nottingham suggested Murray could enjoy a deep run at SW19, and Eurosport expert Mats Wilander believes he still has the ability to cause a shock at the tournament.
“I think Andy Murray thinks that this is the tournament where he still feels that he can do very well. And very well, in Andy Murray’s mind, is most probably winning it,” said Wilander.
“And do I think he can? Yeah, he can upset people. Can he win it? Well, I don’t know. He’s won it already a couple of times, so yes.”
Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz will be in action at the Hurlingham Club on Thursday, with the former taking on Frances Tiafoe and the latter taking on Dominic Thiem.
Wimbledon starts on July 3.
