Marco Fu, Joe Perry and Graeme Dott continue golden run of victories in Northern Ireland Open snooker qualifying

Marco Fu, Joe Perry and Graeme Dott joined the golden run of wins at the Northern Ireland Open with impressive qualifying victories in Sheffield on Thursday.

Three-time ranking event winner Fu completed a 4-2 win over talented Welsh break-builder Jamie Jones that saw him roll in breaks of 133 and 104 to book his spot in the last 64 at the finals venue in Belfast.

The 2006 world champion Dott was also in the mood to impress as he eased to a 4-0 whitewash win over Oliver Lines that saw the Scotsman weigh in with a 98 break.

While former on-song Welsh Open winner Joe Perry enjoyed a 4-2 triumph against Ishpreet Singh Chadha that saw Perry contribute 79 and 102, with Ishpreet rolling in 108 in the fifth frame.

Elsewhere on Thursday, Matthew Selt ran out a 4-1 winner over Andy Lee, Martin O’Donnell edged Daniel Wells 4-3, Ian Burns overcame Pang Junxu 4-2 and Aaron Hill dumped David Lilley 4-1.

The Northern Ireland Open is live on Eurosport and discovery+ from October 22-29 with Mark Allen chasing a third straight victory at the Home Nations Event.
