‘He’s got to be trolling us’

Brooklyn Beckham may see himself as a mixologist — but his fans don’t agree.

While simple is often best, a gin and tonic isn’t exactly on the list of complicated or fancy cocktails — unless, apparently, you’re Beckham.

The 23-year-old — who describes himself as a “nutter in the kitchen” — divulged his recipe in a video for Bustle, which consists of Monkey 47 Gin, lime, cucumber, rosemary, mint, tonic water and ice.

In the clip, Beckham — who claims he is “very experimental” in the kitchen and loves trying “to make new drinks” — shows fans how to make two of his “favorite” cocktails: a lychee martini and a gin and tonic.

After earnestly explaining how to make the latter — by first adding gin, lime, cucumber, “quite a bit of mint” and ice — the son of David and Victoria Beckham then mixes it together with tonic, describing it as “like a forest drink.”

“There’s so many different greens and stuff in there,” the aspiring cocktail extraordinaire declared, adding that he was “very happy with it.”

While he may be happy with it, his apparently carefully crafted recipe sparked confusion online, with many accusing Beckham of trolling them with his cocktail recipe.

“I still can’t tell if Brooklyn Beckham is trolling us all with his ‘Nutter’ recipes..? (In case you forgot how to make a gin and tonic),” one user joked.

“I am obsessed, I mean utterly obsessed, with Brooklyn Beckham calling himself ‘a nutter in the kitchen’ and then making a gin and tonic with none other than cucumber AND lime ladies and gentlemen!” another wrote.

“I have never seen someone fail at utilizing nepotism like Brooklyn Beckham,” another critic said, with someone else adding that they “love nepo energy.”

“I still can’t work out if Brooklyn Beckham is trolling us or the people who manage Brooklyn Beckham are trolling him,” questioned another, while one person quipped, “Hey Brooklyn, please I’m desperate to know your recipe for ice, it looks fantastic.”

One naysayer suggested Beckham show off his cooking skills as a follow-up, commenting: “Next week. Beans on toast.”
