‘So many DM’s about this’

Fans of the 2006 film “The Holiday” were excited when rumors started flying about a sequel — but Nancy Meyers has officially shut them down.

“So many DM’s about this — sorry but it’s not true,” the 72-year-old director confirmed on Instagram.

It was reported Monday that the film was set for a sequel with stars Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Jack Black all returning and production beginning in early 2023.

But that, apparently, is not the case.

Many fans of the movie were upset to find out the rumors were debunked, including Katie Couric, who commented with just a broken heart emoji on Meyers’ post.

Winslet, 47, separately shut down the rumors of a second installment of the film.

“I read something about that, but it’s the first I’ve heard of it,” she told People. “I promise you not an agent or a representative or anyone from the first one around has had any conversation with me about that. Hand on heart, that’s never come up.”

The confirmation comes days after a performance of “The Holiday in Concert” — a live orchestra playing alongside the film — in London. Meyers shared video from the performance on Instagram.

The movie was a box office hit, earning $63 million domestically and $205 million worldwide with an $85 million budget, according to Box Office Mojo.

“The Holiday” is currently available to stream on Hulu for premium subscribers.
