Amazon Original rom-com ‘Something from Tiffany’s’ on Prime
“Bridget Jones’s Diary,” “Love Actually,” and now “Something from Tiffany’s.”
What do these three films have in common? They’re all Christmas rom-coms, and as of today, they’re all staples of the genre.
We know, we know, that’s a bold claim. “Bridget Jones’s Diary” is 21 years old, “Love Actually” is 19, and “Something from Tiffany’s” premiered just today, Dec. 9, on Amazon Prime Video, but once you check out the trailer below, we think you’ll be just as sold as we are.
“Something from Tiffany’s” begins where all great romances, and Shopping sections, are born, New York City, where we find Rachel (Zoe Deutch) in a pleasent but stale relationship with Gary (Ray Nicholson). It’s the holiday season, and in one of those mix-ups that seem to happen all of the time in rom-coms, Gary’s purchase from the jewelry store becomes mixed up with another New Yorker’s, Ethan’s (Kendrick Sampson).
Unbeknownst to Gary, he places a ring for Rachel under the tree, kicking off the plot of this charming, seasonal romantic comedy. Sold yet?
We thought so. Below, we’ve detailed how and when to watch Prime’s new rom-com, as well as a little more information about the film (no spoilers!).
“Something from Tiffany’s” is streaming exclusively on Prime Video. If you don’t have a subscription already (and if you don’t, how have you been watching Thursday Night Football? When can I watch “Something from Tiffany’s”?
Did someone say Friday-night-in? Maybe a movie night? This week, Prime Video’s got you covered. Break out the blanket and the tub of ice-cream: “Something from Tiffany’s” is available to stream now, exclusively on Prime Video.
What’s “Something from Tiffany’s” about?
Might a Christmas mix-up turn into a Christmas miracle? One movie dares to answer the question.
Like we mentioned in the intro, “Something from Tiffany’s” revolves around two couples: the commitment-phobic Gary and Rachel, and the seemingly perfect couple, Ethan (Kendrick Sampson) and Vanessa (Shay Mitchell).
It all goes haywire during the happiest time of the year when a car glances Gary outside of Tiffany’s. The ever-helpful Ethan, also a Tiffany’s shopper, stops to help, and in the process, the two leave with each other’s gifts. The ring Ethan intended for Vanessa ends up under Rachel’s Christmas tree.
What happens next? There’s only one way to find out. Stream “Something from Tiffany’s” on Prime Video today.
