Jakara Anthony claims three moguls wins in a row at Alpe d’Huez and Japan’s Ikuma Horishima tops the men’s podium

Jakara Anthony won her third moguls World Cup event in a row with victory at Alpe d’Huez, and Ikuma Horishima topped the men’s podium.

Australian Anthony led after the first run and kept her place at the top of the podium, while home favourite Perrine Laffont climbed up to second in Alpe d’Huez.

Anthony held a lead of over two points heading into the second run with USA’s Jaelin Kauf and Laffont occupying the provisional podium places.

The current mogul World Cup leader’s score of 16.94 for the air component set her apart from the chasing pack after run one, with Kauf posting the best time score with 18.83.

Kauf fell away with an overall score of 47.07 to finish sixth as her team-mate Elizabeth Lemley claimed the final podium place, as Britain’s Makayla Gerken Schofield missing out by 1.26 points in fourth.

Anthony was again dominant in the air on the second run, while Lemley’s time score of 19.23 helped her claim a first moguls World Cup podium of the season.

In the men’s, Cole McDonald leapfrogged American teammate Nick Page to claim third, as Horishima earned his first moguls World Cup win of the season.

Horishima topped run one with a score of 80.43 after a competition-leading turns score of 48.10.

Page was 0.67 points behind the Japanese skier, with 2021-22 overall Moguls World Cup winner Mikael Kingsbury of Canada completing the top three.

Kingsbury surged into second as Horishima held firm to claim top spot, with McDonald completing the podium.
