Super Bowl: Patrick Mahomes leads Kansas City Chiefs to comeback win over Philadelphia Eagles in 38-35 thriller
Kansas City Chiefs became NFL champions for the second time in four years after beating Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl 57.
The Eagles led the Chiefs 27-21 heading into the final quarter in Pheonix, but an inspired performance from injury-stricken Patrick Mahomes and guidance from legendary coach Andy Reid helped the Chiefs turn the game around and claim the win.
Mahomes’ touchdown passes to Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore helped put the Chiefs ahead for the first time in front of 67,827 people.

The Eagles fought back to draw level again after a touchdown from quarterback Jalen Hurts, which he followed up with a two-point conversion.
Harrison Butker kicked the game-winning field goal from 27 yards after a blistering 26-yard run by Mahomes made ground for Butker to take advantage.
Mahomes, who was named the season’s Most Valuable Player for a second time last week, made history when he became the first player since 1999 to win the season MVP, the Super Bowl and the Super Bowl MVP.
“I am not going to say a dynasty yet, we are not done,” Mahomes said after the game. “I told you nothing was going to keep me off the field. I want to thank my team-mates – we challenged each other and it took everybody.”
Reid was delighted with his quarterback who has led the Chiefs to at least the AFC Championship game in all five seasons as a starter.
“He wants to be the greatest player ever,” he claimed. “That’s the way he goes about his business. And he does it humbly, there’s no bragging.
“The great quarterbacks make everybody around him better, including the head coach. So he’s done a heck of a job.”
