On Tuesday evening one of the games of the season will take place as Liverpool welcome defending European and world champions Real Madrid to Anfield for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash.
It is a rematch of both the 2018 and 2022 finals, which were both won by Real Madrid. The side from the Spanish capital have a total of 14 European Cups, more than any other side, Liverpool have six the joint third-highest figure alongside Bayern Munich.
So far this season Liverpool have had a difficult time, they are currently eighth in the Premier League table, seven points off fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Real Madrid are also trailing their rivals, they sit second in La Liga, eight points behind Barcelona who sit top of the table.
In the Champions League group stages Liverpool finished second behind high-flyers Napoli whilst Real topped their group ahead of RB Leipzig.
The return leg will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu on March 15.
