Steven Gerrard considered for shock return to management with Paris Saint-Germain – Paper Round
Gerrard to… Paris?!
Steven Gerrard could be set for a return to club management with a shock appointment at Paris Saint-Germain. The former England and Liverpool legend has been out of work since being sacked by Aston Villa back in October. However, PSG officials have reportedly already mentioned Gerrard’s name as a potential replacement for the under-fire Christophe Galtier.

“The Qatar ownership are interested in Gerrard whom they see as a major high profile figure who could enhance them next season.
“However, it is also being reported that PSG could be open to Thomas Tuchel returning despite firing the German coach in December 2020.”
Man Utd to limit summer spending
Manchester United will be forced to limit their spending in the summer transfer window, even if they do complete a takeover before the end of the season, due to FFP concerns. Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani has already promised to “return United to its former glories both on and off the pitch” if his takeover bid is successful.
“Sources have told ESPN that although commercial, broadcast and matchday revenue streams have remained strong, dropping out of the Champions League and a lack of significant player departures has meant United are keeping a close eye on FFP compliance.”
Zaha considers Ronaldo link up
Wilfried Zaha is unlikely to reach an agreement to extend his contract at boyhood club Crystal Palace and has been offered the opportunity to link up with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr. The Ivory Coast international has rejected “multiple offers” from Palace and is expected to leave Selhurst Park for free this summer when his current deal expires.
“AC Milan also have serious interest in the Ivory Coast international, but he is open to the idea of becoming the next big-name player to move to the Saudi Pro League.”
Chelsea close in on new Kante contract
Chelsea are growing confident that N’Golo Kante will agree to sign a contract extension at Stamford Bridge. The World Cup winner’s current deal is set to expire at the end of the season, but the Blues believe Kante will not leave this summer.
“However Chelsea, who altered the look of their midfield by selling Jorginho to Arsenal and signing Enzo Fernández from Benfica during January, view Kanté as the ultimate professional and are confident that he will sign an extension soon.”
