Julian Nagelsmann, Mauricio Pochettino and more managers linked with Tottenham vacancy – Paper Round
Nagelsmann and Pochettino linked to Spurs job
The Mail names several managers who could be in the frame to replace Antonio Conte now that the Italian has left Tottenham.
Julian Nagelsmann is one option, but fan favourite Mauricio Pochettino is unsurprisingly mentioned too.

“Nagelsmann, who was shockingly sacked by Bayern Munich on Friday, is in the frame and Daniel Levy wishes to talk to him. Thomas Tuchel, who had been in contention and would reportedly have taken the job, replaced the 35-year-old at the Bavarian club.
“Mauricio Pochettino is a name that much of the fanbase still hankers for, with his chant still regularly heard at home and away games.
“The Argentine would be a popular choice for the support and remains close with Levy, but there is understood to be opposition in some quarters. He was sacked inn November 2019 after a poor start to the season with accusations that he and his team had gone stale.”
More names linked with Spurs
The Express adds more names to the potential shortlist for Spurs.
While Nagelsmann is also mentioned, Porto manager Sergio Conceicao and former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique are touted.
“Two other names are on Paratici’s shortlist after Tuchel – former Spain manager Luis Enrique and FC Porto boss Sergio Conceicao.
“Luis Enrique is out of work after leaving his Spain post after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.”
Kante set for Chelsea stay
The Sun believes that Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante will remain at Stamford Bridge as he closes in on a new contract that could run for three years.
The French international is nearing a return from a long-term hamstring injury that has kept him out since last year.
“Kante, 31, is out of contract at the end of this season in just three months’ time.
“Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are both monitoring his situation in the hope of securing a free transfer, while Liverpool were also linked.
“SunSport understands that the deal will likely run until 2025 – with Chelsea having the option to trigger an additional 12 months.”
Elanga considers United future
Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga was reportedly subject of interest from teams such as Barcelona and Everton in the winter transfer window but remained at the club.
The Mirror now reports that he may reconsider his position in future.
“Elanga has played just 49 minutes of senior football since the end of January, where he was the subject of interest from numerous suitors, including Barcelona and Everton. But with Ten Hag reluctant to weaken his squad, Elanga was prevented from exploring a temporary switch.
“While Elanga admits there were “talks” about him leaving the club on loan in January, he is reluctant to dwell on what could have been.
“When he was asked about interest from Barcelona, he added: ‘That was in January, I can’t focus on that now. The best thing I can do is focus on the rest of the season [with United] and then I will get to talk to the club. I love the club, but it’s important for me to play. I’m still young. We have spoken to the club and they know what is required and I know what is required.’”
