‘The Mandalorian’ fans shocked by Lizzo, Jack Black cameos
Baby Yoda now has two new celebrity friends.
Lizzo and Jack Black surprised “The Mandalorian” viewers when they made guest cameos on a recent episode.
The season three episode dropped on Disney+ yesterday with fans going wild over the two stars’ shocking appearances.
The “Juice” singer, 34, portrayed the Duchess Of Plazir-15 while the “School of Rock” actor, 53, played Captain Bombardier.
The pair both appeared as diplomats for the planet Plazer-15.
In the scene, the Grammy winner sported a dark blue gown and a glittery headpiece.
The comedian wore a gold cape, a blue army suit and a majestic long beard.
“What are lizzo and jack black doing here?” a person wondered on Twitter.
“Ok like, i’m SO obsessed with lizzo and jack black in #TheMandalorian,” someone else gushed.
“I don’t know how many people are still watching #TheMandalorian. But I feel like more people need to know that at one point in the latest episode, Lizzo scratches Grogu’s head like he’s a tiny little cat,” one joked, referring to Baby Yoda‘s itty-bitty head.
“Lizzo looks so cute, slaaaay!” a watcher penned on Twitter. “Lizzo is so beautiful as always😻.”
A fan added: “#TheMandalorian spoilers: Lizzo’s manifesting powers are on another level.”
The “Truth Hurts” crooner actually donned a “Stars Wars” costume for Halloween in 2021 and some fans believe that it helped bring her wish of being in the space opera franchise to life.
There were a few watchers who didn’t particularly like the episode, however, they adored the A-list cameos.
“LOVE THEM BUT I HATED THIS SO MUCH 😭!” a user complained. “Love them but I didn’t like them in here, or maybe I just didn’t like the ep,” someone chimed in.
Lizzo even tweeted yesterday her excitement about starring in the show, writing: “I’m in Star Wars YALL!”
She posed alongside an array of mini Yoda figurines and stuffed animals.
Black also commemorated the fun event by sharing a post of the duo in full makeup and costume on Instagram, writing: “So fun working. with @lizzobeeating on @themandalorianas the king and queen of Plazir-15!!!”
“Back to the Future” alum Christopher Lloyd also even popped up in the episode.
