Manchester United plan to sell as many as 13 players this summer to fund their rebuild, the Mail reports. Harry Maguire, Anthony Elanga and Anthony Martial are among the names listed, along with Eric Bailly, Donny van de Beek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with the overhaul set to be overseen by Matt Hargreaves, formerly of Adidas, who became the club’s new chief transfer negotiator in March. The plans could also see five players arrive at Old Trafford.

“However, their priority remains a striker, then midfielder, centre-back, right-back and possibly a goalkeeper if funds allow for such rich spending.”

Ferguson wanted by Man Utd

Manchester United and Tottenham are among the clubs interested in Brighton forward Evan Ferguson, but the Seagulls are hopeful of holding onto the promising teenager, according to the Mail. Brighton want to tie the Republic of Ireland striker down to a new contract, but interest from United could sway the 18-year-old who is said to have supported the Red Devils and idolised Wayne Rooney.

“Newcastle and Chelsea also hold an interest in Ferguson but Brighton expect him to grow with them.”

Ince on the brink at Reading

Paul Ince is on the brink of being sacked by Reading after the club dropped into the Championship relegation zone, the Telegraph reports. A run of eight games without a victory have put Reading in peril, and the former England, Manchester United and Liverpool midfielder could lose his job as a result.

“It is understood that Ince’s future was discussed on Saturday by the Reading board after Friday’s draw against Birmingham and patience is now running out. The defeat at play-off hopefuls Preston leaves Reading a point from safety with five games remaining in the season.”

Reiss Nelson could be the subject of interest from Brighton as the Arsenal winger weighs up his options this summer, the Mail reports. Nelson is on the periphery at Arsenal, but despite contributing to their title charge, more game time is likely elsewhere.
