Ex-‘SNL’ star Victoria Jackson rips homosexuality at meeting
Former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Victoria Jackson ranted about homosexuality Tuesday at a city council meeting in Franklin, Tennessee.
Jackson, 63, took to the podium to weigh in on the council’s discussion about holding a gay pride parade.
She argued that Franklin should not celebrate the gay community, claiming that God “hates” sodomy, homosexuality, sexual immorality and pride.
“Like, one of the most things he hates is pride,” she insisted as she cited Bible verses.
“Proverbs 11:12: When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. The Lord detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished,” Jackson continued. “Proverbs 16:18: Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”
“And Sodom and Gomorrah proves that God hates sodomy, and sexual immorality and pride,” she said of the destroyed, wicked biblical cities. “And it’s still there, and archaeologists have uncovered it.”
Jackson concluded her speech by encouraging “this generation not to be brainwashed,” directing them to watch YouTuber Becket Cook’s videos.
Cook has documented his journey from gay atheist to Christian.
The Post has contacted a rep for Jackson for comment.
Jackson was on “SNL” from 1986 to 1992. She left the show to play a Vegas showgirl opposite George Clooney on a proposed sitcom, but the networks didn’t pick it up.
Instead, she appeared numerous times on “Politically Incorrect With Bill Maher” and performed comedy sets around the country.
In 2007, she joined a Hollywood conservative group called Friends of Abe.
She would go on to publicly accuse former President Barack Obama of being an “Islamic jihadist” and criticize the FOX drama “Glee” for showing a “sickening” gay kiss between two male actors.
She also mounted a failed political run in 2014, losing her bid as an independent candidate for a seat on a county commission in Tennessee.
Jackson later said her political and religious beliefs made it difficult for her to get showbiz gigs.
“I was blacklisted,” Jackson claimed to the Minneapolis Star Tribune in August. “The only people you can make fun of is blondes — dumb blonde jokes. You can’t make fun of Muslims, or you die.”
She also told the outlet that she didn’t care for recent “SNL” seasons, either.
“Now the agenda is so blatant. It’s obvious that they want to push a far-left agenda to indoctrinate a new generation,” said Jackson. “They couldn’t even tell a joke about Obama. When Alec Baldwin does [former President Donald] Trump, it’s done with hate. When we did political figures, it was with love and humor.”
Jackson’s most recent claims drew mixed reactions on Twitter.
“If you were wondering what happened to Victoria Jackson from SNL thirtysome years ago (you weren’t), she’s a hateful bats–t crazy person who spews judgmental nonsense at town halls,” one wrote.
“It’s sad when a person who was once funny goes down such an awful path. And it’s also sad that Victoria Jackson turned out this way,” another joked.
“For years I’ve assumed Victoria Jackson is doing one long piece of performance art. A long con. An Aristocrats! if you will,” mused a third.
“If Victoria Jackson is your spokesperson, you’re fvkced,” another declared.
