Andy Cohen seemingly speaks out for Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ talk show has gotten off to a rocky start — but one of Ripa’s celeb pals apparently put out a message for her.
On Tuesday, in his Instagram stories, Andy Cohen posted a cryptic encouraging message reading, “Keep your head up!” over an image of Snoopy.
Cohen, 54, is a longtime friend of Ripa, 52, and Consuelos, 52.
On Monday, Ripa’s husband had his debut on “Kelly and Mark” (formerly “Kelly and Ryan,” before Consuelos replaced Ryan Seacrest).
Seacrest announced in February that he would be stepping down after almost six years on the talk show. His last episode was on April 14th.
But, Consuelos’ first episode didn’t go well, and some fans are saying that the couple bombed.
Social media reactions slammed the couple’s banter as, “Bruuuutal! Last time i watch. I can go to the mall and watch teenagers kiss LESS!!! THE BEGINNING OF THE END.”
Ripa, who shares three kids with Consuelos – Michael, 25, Lola, 21, and Joaquin, 20 – was also accused of talking over her husband and co-host.
Another outraged fan blasted their “painful fake banter.”
Ripa has previously shared that she and Cohen met at a party many years ago.
“Andy was concerned that Mark and I didn’t have any friends our own age. He was certain all of our friends were much older and volunteered to ‘sacrifice’ himself and become our friend,” she told Variety.
“Live with Kelly and Mark” airs weekdays at 9 a.m. ET.
