Which surprise songs we think Taylor Swift will play on Eras Tour

Pop megastar Taylor Swift is less than a quarter of the way through her stadium ‘Eras Tour’ and, as promised, is delivering one or two acoustic covers of songs she has yet to sing.

And with over 40 concerts (!) remaining on the nationwide spring and summer trek, we thought we’d weigh in with our predictions for which songs she’ll be blessing us with on a few of her major upcoming tour dates.

We’ve got some spicy ‘Eras Tour’ predictions ready and raring to go for you below.

Let’s start off where it all began for Taylor in her hometown of Nashville, TN. These shows are highly anticipated by fans since seeing the Nashville native in all her eras brings back deep nostalgia. With all that being said, we have to assume Swift will pay tribute to her roots in her acoustic set. Below is our best bet at what OG Swifties can expect at her Nash shows: 

• “Tim McGraw,” Taylor Swift
• “Teardrops on my guitar,” Taylor Swift
• “Forever & Always,” Fearless
• Wild Card: “I bet you think about me (Ft. Chris Stapelton),” Red (Taylor’s Version)

May 12-14 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA

If you’re a Taylor fan, you know that Pennsylvania has a soft spot in her heart. Reading, PA is where Taylor grew up for the majority of her childhood before heading to the music city to live out her msuic dreams. Although we don’t suspect she’ll be playing “Christmas Tree Farm,”  a holiday song inspired by her time in Reading, we do have some other educated guesses:

• “Nothing New (Ft. Phoebe Bridgers),” Red (Taylor’s Version)
• “Gold Rush,” Evermore

May 26-28 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ

Jack Antanoff is a household name for any true Swiftie. Antonoff, 39, is one of Taylor’s best friends and collaborators who has co-written songs on multiple Swift albums, including her most recent, “Midnights.” Since Swift will be performing in Antonoff’s home territory of Jersey, we guess she’ll pay homage to their creative partnership and play a few songs they worked on together as a nod to the Bleachers frontman. We also can’t ignore that these will be her “New York” adjacent shows, a city Taylor notoriously adores, so it’s safe to say we may be getting some NYC-inspired songs on the set list:

• “Welcome to New York,” 1989
• “Out of the woods,” 1989
• “Cornelia Street,” Lover
• “Glitch,” Midnights

June 23-24 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN

We think we’ve seen this film before, except this time we liked the ending. That’s right Swifties, we suspect Bon Iver may play with Taylor at her Minny shows, considering the band has its origins not far away in Wisconsin. Let’s hope this theory doesn’t get exiled before we see it come to fruition on stage:

• “Exile (ft. Bon Iver),” Folklore
• “Evermore (ft. Bon Iver),” Evermore

June 30-July 1 at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, OH

We see you Cincinnati, and we have a prediction! A certain collaboration happened with an Ohio-based band you may know way back in 2020. Yes, The National collaborated with Ms.Swift on a song from her album, “Evermore,” that we’d be foolish not to bring up as possible speculation for her Ohio tour dates. Will we be getting a surprise guest appearance from Matt Berninger and the band? Time will only tell.

Aug. 3-9 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, CA

Los Angeles, CA (August 3-9): The final stop on Taylor’s tour is a four-day finale in Los Angeles as she brings her “Eras Tour,” to a bejeweling end. All four of the concerts will be opened by Gracie Abrams as well as beloved sister trio HAIM. These will be the only shows HAIM opens for Tay Tay which makes us assume audiences will be treated to their tune from Taylor’s “Evermore” album.

• “You’re on your own kid,” Midnights

Now we wait!

Whether our predictions are on point or off base, the only only thing we know for certain is that we’re psyched to see what Taylor has up her sleeve.
