Chris Pratt’s ‘toughest’ audition was at male strip club: ‘The place was nasty’

He’s no Magic Mike.

Chris Pratt has reflected on his short-lived career as a stripper during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel.

The talk show host, 55, asked the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star, 43, if his Marvel auditions were the “toughest” tryouts he’d ever had to endure, to which the actor offered a surprise response.

“I mean, in my career as an actor maybe, but I had an audition once when I was 18 years old in Edmonds, Washington, at a strip club called Mr. Pattywhacks,” Pratt revealed.

“It was in the middle of the day, and the place was nasty,” he added, explaining that he danced for “one dude” to the song “Pony” by Ginuwine, which he said was “too slow” for him to feel comfortable.

However, his audition must have impressed the man because Pratt claims he was invited to return to the strip club — but never did.

Pratt told Kimmel, however, that he was tempted to return to the club after seeing another dancer in the parking lot.

“I walk out and there was a car, it’s like a mid 80s Toyota Tercel with a guy sleeping in the front seat, and he wakes up and he’s like ‘Oh,’ and he goes in [to the strip club].”

“I was like ‘Oh, that’s one of the dancers. He’s got a pretty sick car. Maybe I ought to come back, make a little money, and get myself a Toyota.’ But no, I ended up not,” the actor laughed.

The Post has contacted Pratt for comment.

The father-of-three briefly discussed his stripper past with Buzzfeed in November 2013. He claimed to have only worked a few gigs when he was 18, including a bachelorette party and a birthday party for his friend’s grandmother.

“I was always a very much naked person,” Pratt told the outlet. I loved to always get naked. I was very free, so I thought, I may as well get paid.”

Later that month, he told Ellen DeGeneres: “I was like the very, very low-rent Magic Mike,” and claimed he only stripped three times, making “$40 a pop.”

The strip club confessions contrast with Pratt’s wholesome family man image.

The actor shares two daughters with wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, 33, to whom he has been married since 2019. He also shares a son with ex-wife, Anna Faris.

Earlier this month, Pratt opened up about Schwarzenegger saying he felt “broken” before he met her.

“I met Katherine — now it’s been five, six years ago,” he told Drew Barrymore on her talk show. “God has a fast-forward button, you know. When it’s right — boom — you’re hit. You fall in love, you get married.”

“Now we have two beautiful daughters to add to my family, and it feels really great,” he shared, adding that “there was a moment in my life that I was really struggling and felt really broken.”
