Prince William reveals son George loves AC/DC and Led Zeppelin

He’s on the highway to becoming the King – and a rock fan.

During a walkabout on Sunday ahead of the big coronation concert at Windsor Castle, Prince William revealed a surprising fact about his nine-year-old son, Prince George.

“We were talking about the kind of music we do in Rock Choir and Will was telling us in their household they have a very diverse music taste and George is very much into AC/DC and Led Zeppelin,” Rock Choir member Caroline Mulvihill told PA, according to The Mirror.

“It was quite interesting to hear that,” she added.

The unannounced walkabout took place in Windsor, with Prince William and wife Kate Middleton greeting those attending the coronation concert and the Big Lunch, a celebration of the big event, according to the outlet.

On Saturday, King Charles was officially proclaimed monarch during a historic ceremony at Westminster Abbey.

It symbolized the official transfer of power to him after the death of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, last September.

And, although Prince George is only nine, he played a big role in the day, too, having a key role as “Page of Honour” in the ceremony.

The job of the page is to ensure that King Charles won’t trip over one of his long robes as he walked down the aisle at Westminster Cathedral.

The future king also bore a small sword in order to protect his grandpa, the King of England.

But now that all the pomp and circumstance is done, the royal family and rest of the world will get to enjoy a star-studded concert on Sunday evening on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Andrea Bocelli will be taking the stage for a series of performances.

“To be honest with you, I’m excited because this is history,” Lionel Richie told “Good Morning America” this week about the big event.

“We’ve known each other for a very long time. But the point is, this is a moment when you don’t get these everyday.”

Richie has known the King for a number of years, and is the Global Chairman of the Board of his Prince’s Trust, a charity that helps young people get on their feet again, according to Parade.

Perry is also looking forward to the event, she told Entertainment Tonight last month.

“I’m grateful I get to go,” Perry said at the time. “I met His Majesty to be a few years ago and he named me as one of the ambassadors to his organization, The British Asian Trust, which is an organization that helps fight to end child trafficking.”

The two “American Idol” judges also attended the official ceremony on Saturday, with Perry making headlines after she couldn’t find her seat at the chapel and then almost fell and slipped outside.

Hopefully, that won’t happen today.

And, it looks like there’s one royal who is especially excited for the concert – just a few hours before the big performances, the official social media accounts for Kensington Palace posted a cheeky clip of Prince William teasing the event.

His brother, Prince Harry, will not be coming to the celebrations – he already made his way back to Montecito, California to see his son Archie on his fourth birthday.

Unfortunately, his view at the actual ceremony was blocked by Princess Anne, who was sitting in front of him in a hat that had a big, red feather plume sticking out of it.
