Giro d’Italia 2023 Stage 15: Preview, how to watch, TV and live stream details, route map and profile for route
“It’s going to be like a Classic – but in a Grand Tour!” says Eurosport expert Adam Blythe. A mini Lombardia? An urban mountain stage? Stage 15 at the Giro d’Italia promises to be fun.
Geraint Thomas will return to his familiar robes of Ineos Grenadiers on Sunday after deciding to let Bruno Armirail (Groupama–FDJ) take the maglia rosa to give the Welshman an evening off from post-race leadership duties.
So what’s in store on a four-star day in the sort-of-mountains?

Punchy climbs alternate with uncomplicated sections, so we can expect plenty of attacks and, potentially, a nice day for the breakaway.
The route quickly tackles the punishing Cat. 1 gradients of the Valcava and enters the Bergamo province. After popping into Bergamo, the race tackles the hairpin-filled climb to Selvino before a sharp down-and-up to Miragolo San Salvatore.
Then it’s back to Bergamo, passing over the finish, up the third Cat. 2 climb to Valpiana and, finally, back to Bergamo again for the finish.
How can I watch the Giro d’Italia on TV and live stream?
Every stage will be broadcast in its entirety on Eurosport 1, while you can watch ad-free on discovery+ and eurosport.com.
The UK coverage will be bookended by The Breakaway, presented by Orla Chennaoui, who has Dan Lloyd, Adam Blythe and Robbie McEwen for company.
Rob Hatch, Sean Kelly, Lloyd and Blythe will be in the commentary box, with Jens Voigt and Alberto Contador doing their thing on the back of a motorbike.
What time does Stage 15 of the Giro d’Italia start?
Stage 15 coverage will begin at 10:30 UK time on Sunday, May 21.
