Rod Stewart fed up with LA’s ‘toxic culture’ as he prepares to dump $70M mansion

Rod Stewart is done with Los Angeles.

The legendary musician, 78, is ready to ditch The Golden State and head back to London’s home soil after becoming fed up with the “toxic culture,” according to a report.

The “I Don’t Want to Talk About It” hitmaker feels that he has “no privacy” in LA, and has grown tired of the “nuisance” that comes with traveling back and forth, sources told Daily Mail.

The Grammy winner’s qualms with living in the City of Angels come just days after it emerged that the singer listed his compound on the market for a cool $70 million.

The sprawling European-style property measures some 33,000 square feet with a pool and a soccer field.

Citing sales records, the Wall Street Journal notes that the singer bought the property in 1991 for $12.08 million. He also owns a home in affluent Palm Beach, Florida.

Stewart’s former Malibu home was listed days earlier where it is asking a princely $49.5 million.

Stewart’s rumored move back to London will mean that there will be far less travel involved for him and his wife Penny Lancaster, whom he wed in 2007, as well as their sons, Alastair, 18, and Aiden, 12.

The boys are both enrolled in a school in England, while Lancaster, 52, has worked as a volunteer police officer for the last few years.

“Penny loves the life she has made away from America and away from LA. She enjoys nothing more than working for the police force,” a source told the outlet.

“She also finds traveling to be more of a nuisance than anything and wants to just live her life as a working mom.”

“Besides, her and Rod’s boys are in no way wanting to leave their school and friends in the UK to come over to America,” the insider added.

A second source told the outlet that the singer, who shares eight children with a total of five women, is fully backed by his kids in his decision to move back home.

“They all know how happy him and Penny are living there and that is all they want is for their father to be happy,” the insider told the outlet.

The Post has reached out to Stewart’s reps for comment.
