Adele told Sylvester Stallone ‘no deal’ on buying LA mansion without ‘Rocky’ statue
Sylvester Stallone revealed that the iconic statue from his hit 1976 film “Rocky” managed to nudge Adele to buy his plush California mansion.
Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, the actor, 76, said the 16-time Grammy winner signed on the dotted line for the luxe $58 million estate after Stallone complied with her request to leave the poolside statue of the fictional boxer — despite his initial intention to take it.
“She said, ‘That’s a no deal. That’s gonna blow the whole deal,’” he recalled. “She wanted the statue.”
After agreeing to leave the statue at the property, the singer was happy to purchase the sprawling 8-bed, 12-bath home in Los Angeles.
Since buying the home last year, the “Easy On Me” hitmaker has been busy renovating the pad while Stallone moved to Palm Beach, Fla.
“I like what she’s doing, she’s making it gorgeous,” Stallone said of the singer’s home improvements.
Stallone first landed the mega role of Rocky Balboa in the 1976 blockbuster, before its success spurred on a whole franchise consisting of six films.
Stallone starred as Balboa in its final installment in 2006.
And it seems as though among the millions of fans of the hit franchise was the singer herself, who snapped up the plush bad with the Rocky statue in Feb. 2022.
The property boasts a cinema room, a cigar room with a built-in custom bar, an eight-stall garage, an infinity pool, a spa, and an art studio, to name a few.
Stallone built the home from the ground up after purchasing the 3.5-acre lot in 1994.
In May 2022, the “Hello” singer posed for a loved-up snap outside the home with her boyfriend, Rich Paul.
In the image, she and the NBA agent held the keys to the property.
It was reported that the British singer took out an eye-watering $38 million mortgage on the home last year.
According to the Daily Mail, the singer’s 30-year mortgage payments will reportedly cost $227,000 per month.
But the heart-stopping price tag isn’t far-fetched for the singer, who is reportedly worth $220 million.
For his part, Paul is worth a comfortable $55 million, according to Forbes.
Adele confirmed her relationship with Paul in July 2021 after finalizing her divorce from Simon Konecki, with whom she shares 10-year-old son Angelo.
