Tour de France 2023: Teams and riders for the 110th edition of the Grand Tour as Chris Froome misses out
Defending champion Jonas Vingegaard will be hoping to retain his yellow jersey, while two-time winner Tadej Pogacar will be desperate to dethrone his Danish rival after missing out last year.

No Froome at Tour de France as Israel – Premier Tech leave out ‘disappointed’ four-time winner

Froome recently said competing at the Tour remained his “ultimate goal”, but there was no place for the 38-year-old in Israel Premier Tech’s eight-man team.
He added: “I respect the team’s decision and will take some time before refocusing on objectives later in the season and returning to the Tour de France in 2024.”
British interest could now rest on the likes of likely Tour riders Tom Pidcock, Adam Yates, Simon Yates and Mark Cavendish, with the latter aiming to create history in what could be his final appearance at the famous race.
Cavendish needs just one more stage victory to break cycling legend Eddy Merckx’s all-time record of 34.
The 38-year-old was controversially omitted from the Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team for the 2022 edition of the race before signing with current team Astana Qazaqstan earlier this year.
