McDonald’s customer in Ohio finds nose ring in her burger

McNasty!

A McDonald’s customer in Ohio did not have a happy meal after she said she found a nose ring inside her Quarter Pounder.

The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, told local station WHIOTV7 that she picked up food for herself, her boyfriend and her 3-year-old niece from the fast food restaurant located on Harshman Road in Riverside when she made the disturbing discovery.

Once home, she unpacked her burger and began to eat it.

After a few bites, she decided to wipe away some excess mayonnaise and when she did, the jewelry fell out of the sandwich.

“We were just eating and there was so much mayo and lettuce, so I took my fry to go wipe the side of it off, and I heard this plop in the box. It was a nose ring,” she told the station.

The nose ring fell out of the woman’s Quarter Pounder after she had already taken a few bites of the burger.

Disgusted, the woman immediately threw all their food away and took a photo of the piercing to report it.

“This is someone’s nose piercing that was physically in their body,” she said. “My stomach turned for like two days.”

She said she was just thankful that she didn’t swallow the diamond stud nose ring and that it wasn’t in her young niece’s meal.

The customer reported her unexpected find to the restaurant manager as well as on the company’s app.

She said McDonald’s still had not apologized or offered reimbursement for the tainted food days later.

She then reached out to Dayton & Montogomery County’s Public Health Office after getting no response from the burger joint.

The office’s public information manager Dan Suffoletto told WHIOTV7 that the office of environmental health conducted an inspection at the McDonald’s Harshman Road location on Monday and also ran through safe food handling training with workers.

“We didn’t find anything today that indicated problems with food preparation,” Suffoletto said Monday.
