Heather Locklear drinking again, on Ozempic after 20 rehab stints: source

Heather Locklear has lost her battle with sobriety, a source claims — one day after photos of the “Melrose Place” star acting erratically were published by The Post.

The shocking snaps, taken in Malibu, California, on June 29, show the 61-year-old — who has a well-documented history of struggles with substance abuse and mental health issues — steadying herself on the ledge of an office building after an undisclosed appointment.

On Wednesday, an anonymous insider told the Daily Mail that Locklear is back on the booze after 20 stints in rehab, saying: “Heather is drinking, The family is very worried. Everyone feels helpless: [ex-husband] Richie Sambora, her family, especially her daughter Ava who loves her so much.”

The insider also alleged that the mom-of-one has lost a drastic amount of weight after starting to use the injectable diabetes drug, Ozempic.

“Tequila has always been her drink. She can’t stay away from it,” the source added, according to the publication. “She’s also on Ozempic and obsesses over her weight. She’s lost 40lbs.”

The Post has reached out to Locklear’s representative for comment.

According to the source, Locklear’s only child, 25-year-old Ava Sambora, has had a particularly tough time having a “front-row seat to her mother’s addictions.”

Ava’s father is ex-Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora, to whom Locklear was married from 1994 to 2007.

Locklear first entered rehab a year after their split, saying she was suffering from anxiety and depression.

The six-time Golden Globe nominee has sought treatment multiple times in the ensuing 15 years.

In 2018, she entered rehab after being arrested for the alleged assault of an EMT worker called to her home during a domestic dispute.

However, the source told the Daily Mail that Locklear did not receive the appropriate punishment for her wrongdoings, seemingly blaming the lack of “accountability” on why she reportedly relapsed.

“Heather got off so easy with no probation or accountability after beating up cops and then threatening EMT ambulance drivers,” the insider told the Daily Mail.

“The no accountability has allowed her to continue to hide out on top of her mountain estate and drink her tequila body into a much larger unhappier figure.”

Locklear is currently engaged to Chris Heisser.

The pair first dated in high school before they rekindled in the mid-2010s.

Locklear and high school sweetheart Heisser got engaged in April 2020, although they met as teenagers and graduated together from Newbury Park High School, near Los Angeles, in 1979.

The source told the Daily Mail that Heisser has worked tirelessly to try to help keep the star afloat.

“[Chris] has to drive her for mandatory errands and try to sustain his career while lying to family and friends consistently hiding her alcohol and drug problems,” the insider claimed.

Back in 2021, Locklear told People that she was in no rush to marry her fiancé.

“I’m like, ‘You’re my man for the rest of my life, whether we get married or not,’ ” she said at the time.

“[A wedding] is so not important. We’re together, and we love each other and support each other. And really that’s all that matters.”

The veteran actress also told the publication the same year that she didn’t fear getting older.

“I’ve always loved getting older because it means I’m alive,” she declared.

“I’m so grateful. I don’t really give a hoot. I don’t give a hoot about how I look. My parents still love me. My daughter loves me.”
