Harry Kane not interested in PSG transfer, Rasmus Hojlund next for Man Utd after Andre Onana – Paper Round

Kane unmoved by PSG interest

Harry Kane is not interested in joining Paris Saint-Germain this summer, the Telegraph reports, with Tottenham and chairman Daniel Levy facing a decision to fight to keep the striker or sell him to Bayern Munich. With Manchester United also seemingly out of the race, there would appear to be just the two options for Kane, which denies Spurs the chance of a bidding war.

The Telegraph writes: “PSG have been heavily linked with Kane in recent days, but Telegraph Sport understands the England captain would turn down an approach from the French club.

“While Spurs fans will be pleased to hear that Kane does not want to move to France in this transfer window, it decreases the chance of his price getting significantly pushed up through a bidding war.

“Bayern have had two bids for Kane rejected this summer, with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy still wanting more than £100 million for the 29-year-old, despite the fact he only has one year remaining on his contract.”

Hojlund after Onana for Man Utd

Manchester United will step up their pursuit of Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund once they have signed Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, the Telegraph reports. Onana could undergo his medical on Tuesday before joining United on their pre-season tour in USA, and Erik ten Hag could then switch their focus to signing a forward.

The Telegraph adds: “Erik ten Hag’s priority this summer has been the recruitment of a top-class goalkeeper to replace the departed David De Gea, who left as a free agent last month, and a centre-forward. With the Onana transfer on the verge of being completed, attention will now turn to Hojlund.

“With Marcus Rashford set to sign a new five-year contract with United, Ten Hag is desperate to add more firepower in attack to ease the burden on the England striker and has identified Hojlund as a priority target after the club backed away from a move for Harry Kane amid serious doubts Tottenham would be prepared to sell to them.”

Man City await improved Mahrez offer

Manchester City have rejected an £18m bid from Al Ahli for Riyad Mahrez and hope for an improved offer for the Algerian winger, the Daily Mail reports. With City also holding talks with Kyle Walker amid interest from Bayern Munich, it looks as though Mahrez’s stint could be coming to an end with the treble winners.

The Daily Mail adds: “Since joining from Leicester City in 2018, Mahrez has made 236 appearances for City scoring 78 goals.

“But the winger was disappointed by being left on the bench in the finals of the Champions League and FA Cup last month, and he views Saudi Arabia as a new opportunity, where he has been offered £43m-a-year plus bonuses for two years.”

Chelsea to bid £80m for Caicedo

Chelsea are expected to make an £80m bid for Moises Caicedo as talks over signing the midfielder continue with Brighton, the Daily Mail reports. Mauricio Pochettino would be keen for the 21-year-old to join his squad and Chelsea believe he fits their profile amid their summer reshuffle.

The Daily Mail adds: “Lyon’s talented Rayan Cherki, Celta Vigo’s Gabri Veiga and Southampton’s Romeo Lavia – should Caicedo escape them – are all players they have enquired about. A goalkeeper is on their wishlist too.

“Mauricio Pochettino would like a centre forward with Romelu Lukaku heading out but Vlahovic, a target for Paris St Germain, looks a signing too far.”
