Jennifer Aniston allegedly upset with ‘Days of Our Lives’
It’s not going to fly with her.
A grieving Jennifer Aniston reportedly isn’t dealing well with news that her recently deceased dad, longtime soap opera actor John Aniston, is about to be written off “Days of Our Lives” in a rather dramatic fashion.
According to the Daily Mail, the character’s absence will finally be explained by killing him off in a plane crash. A source revealed that the aerophobic Aniston, 54, was disappointed by the decision.
John Aniston starred in the soap opera “Days of Our Lives” as Victor Kiriakis from 1985 until his death last November at the age of 89.
“Jennifer hates to fly so this has rubbed her the wrong way but what can she do? They have to explain Victor’s death on the show,” the source said.
“The funeral show is expected to air sometime late August, early September,” they revealed.
The “Friends” star had a rocky relationship throughout her career with her mother, Nancy Dow, who died in 2016.
The actress was also estranged from her father, but the two were reportedly on good terms at the time of his death.
It’s not the only controversy swirling around the “Days” set lately.
Director and co-executive producer Albert Alarr was very recently attacked on social media by Lisa Rinna of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” who called out Alarr on her Instagram Story after it was revealed that the 67-year-old industry vet underwent a two-month investigation for sexual misconduct.
“Let’s see when’s the last time I went over there and did that week on Peacock[?]” Rinna wrote. “I couldn’t believe the work environment. It was disgusting.”
Aniston has been coping with her father’s death for the past nine months by forming a circle of people she can confide in about her long-lasting grief.
One of her points of support is her ex-husband Justin Theroux, reportedly. Although Aniston divorced Theroux in 2018, the onetime couple has continued to stay friendly and close despite their split.
A source told a reporter Theroux “has also been a close source of comfort, with the actor calling her almost every day to console her.”
Aniston’s father’s co-stars are also a part of her support group, with the actress going so far as hosting them at her home, sources revealed.
“Jennifer has sent his friends gifts and called them and remember their birthdays and been a real sweetie,” one said.
“She has been incredibly generous and has had his friends up to her house for parties to talk about the good old days with John.”
