Kylian Mbappe won’t be sold this summer and could sign new deal at Paris Saint-Germain – Paper Round

Mbappe to stay at PSG this summer and could sign new deal

Kylian Mbappe will not be sold this summer and could yet sign a new deal at Paris Saint-Germain, claims The Telegraph.
The France international sat out the club’s first game of the season – a dull goalless draw at home to Lorient – but he is being “reintegrated into the Paris Saint-Germain first-team”, says the report.

It adds: … “now there is a belief that Mbappe will not only stay beyond this month but will not go for free.

“PSG had offered Mbappe a new contract which included a guaranteed sale clause next year, allowing him to leave for a fixed amount. The 24-year-old even refused to enter into negotiations but the fact that a breakthrough has now been made suggests a new deal with a release clause is now the most likely outcome and talks are set to resume.”

Bayern reject Man United’s bid for Pavard

Bayern Munich have rejected Manchester United’s opening bid for their French defender Benjamin Pavard, reports suggest.

The report states: “The Frenchman has been on Erik ten Hag’s shortlist and United have now made an official bid in an effort to bring him to the club, but have been rejected by Bayern, as reported by Sky Germany.

“United are keen to bring Pavard to the club in an effort to boost their defensive ranks for the new Premier League season as Harry Maguire edges nearer to joining West Ham.

“Pavard has already held talks with United and the two clubs will need to find a suitable fee for the 27-year-old before the transfer window closes on Friday, September 1.

“The player is reportedly open to moving to Old Trafford and has already agreed personal terms ahead of a potential transfer. However, Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel signalled his intent is to keep hold of Pavard by starting the versatile full-back in Saturday’s German Super Cup defeat to Red Bull Leipzig.”

Tottenham make enquiry for teenage sensation Ferguson

Tottenham are stepping up their search to bulk up their forward line and have made an enquiry for Brighton and Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson, according to reports.

Ferguson, 18, scored six goals in his debut season in the Premier League last term and also netted in his side’s 4-1 win over Luton Town on Saturday.

His form has been noticed by Spurs according to The Sun which carries the story first reported by TEAMtalk.

However, “their approach is set to be rejected as The Seagulls have no interest in selling Ferguson,” the article states.

It adds: “But that has not deterred Spurs’ interest as they view the 18-year-old as Kane’s long-term successor.”

Everton confident of landing Harrison

Everton are confident of signing Jack Harrison on loan from Leeds despite interest from Aston Villa.

That’s according to The Times in a report which claims The Toffees still want the winger despite the fact he is currently out of action due to an injury.

The story reads: “Everton are hoping to boost their attacking options by finalising a loan deal for the Leeds United winger Jack Harrison.

“The 26-year-old underwent a medical on Sunday and, although he is currently sidelined with a hip injury that could keep him out for another month, the Everton manager Sean Dyche wants to progress with the transfer.

“Leeds have received interest from other Premier League sides, notably Aston Villa, who are all aware that a clause in Harrison’s contract allows him to leave on an initial loan after the Yorkshire side’s demotion to the Sky Bet Championship.

“Unai Emery, the Villa manager, has a long-running interest in Harrison, but Everton remain confident of landing him.”
