Virginia police looking for man carrying parrots on shoulder during robbery
This crook’s a real birdbrain.
A knife-wielding man brought his three easily identifiable parrots along to a Virginia McDonald’s, where he forcibly robbed a victim of some cash on Tuesday, according to cops.
The so-called “bird bandit” sauntered into the fast-food chain with two feathered friends posted on the brim of his cowboy hat and another on his shoulder, according to Fairfax County cops.
The unidentified suspect approached his victim and robbed him of “an undisclosed amount of money” at knifepoint.
The assailant is described as a tattooed Hispanic man between 28-32 years old, though his three brightly-colored parrots are likely his biggest descriptor.
He and the birds were also seen on surveillance footage inside a nearby convenience store around the time of the robbery before taking off in a blue Ford SUV.
The man — but not the birds — is wanted for a strong-armed robbery.
