Boy, 15, busted for double murder, including 6-year-old girl

A 15-year-old Florida boy flashed a callous smile after being accused of murdering two people in a drive-by shooting, including a 6-year-old girl hit by stray bullets that pierced her home.

Nico Brown was busted in Orlando Saturday on suspicion of first-degree murder in the deaths of Isaiyah Wright, 19, and little Ajahliyah Hashim, whose mom was also injured, Orlando police said.

The teen flashed a giant grin in his perp walk while being led in handcuffs to a waiting squad car while wearing a T-shirt, shorts and slides.

The 6-year-old girl and her mom had been in the living room of their home when shots were fired from a passing car at 8:20 p.m. last Tuesday, police said.

Ajahliyah was taken to a local hospital but died of her injuries two days later, reported the station ClickOrlando.

Neither she nor her mom — who suffered non-life-threatening injuries — were not intended targets, police said.

“She was such a beautiful girl, so quiet,” a neighbor who called 911 said of Ajahliyah.

The same neighbor said she “heard the rapid gunfire” and called 911, with ClockOrlando seeing several bullet markings at the victims’ home, with dozens more outside.

“They were really shooting,” the neighbor said of the carnage.

Wright — who had just turned 19 on Aug. 23 — was dropped off at Health Central Hospital’s emergency room in Ocoee, where he was pronounced dead by medics. It was not immediately clear how he was connected, police said.

“I don’t know if he was a target,” Wright’s mother, Stacy Hall, said during a candlelight vigil held Friday night in her son’s honor, according to WESH.

“I don’t know if he was set up. There’s a lot of things going through my head regarding my son.”

“That was my son, and his family is mourning,” Hall said. “His dad’s side is mourning, and nobody deserves to lose a child.”

Ajahliyah was a student at Eagle’s Nest Elementary School, according to a statement from Superintendent Maria Vazquez.

“Our students should not have to live in a world where their lives are in danger in their own neighborhoods,” Vazquez wrote. “I cannot imagine the pain Ajahliyah’s family is going through. We can not accept that these tragedies have become all too common in our community.”
