Kate Middleton breaks down laughing as she struggles to inflate life vest
The experience left her quite inflated.
The Princess of Wales went viral Monday after she burst out laughing trying to inflate a life vest while visiting the Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton.
Making a grand entrance in a helicopter, Kate Middleton, 41, stepped out in a stylish black pantsuit, with a white top and matching black heels.
Middleton, who was also seen chatting with several Navy members, was then given a life vest and reportedly asked to demonstrate how to deploy the life-saving device in front of the survival equipment technicians.
The senior royal was then spotted giggling as she pulled the toggle to inflate the survival gear.
Other photos caught the princess bracing herself as the buoyant orange material activated.
Erupting into a fit of giggles, the princess then, with some help from a nearby serviceman, managed to remove the flotation device from around her neck.
Following her demonstration, Middleton spoke with many of the personnel within the base’s control tower and is even expected to fly a simulated version of a Wildcat MK2 helicopter.
Middleton’s trip to the airbase comes after King Charles III named her Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm, a title previously held by Prince Andrew before Queen Elizabeth II stripped him of military titles and honors.
The Post reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.
Middleton has taken part in multiple events as of late, recently debuting a brand-new hairstyle during a trip to the HMP High Down prison last week.
“I love that she brought back the fringe bangs! She hasn’t had them in forever and I (a lover of bangs) think that they can be very framing for the face,” commented one person on Instagram.
“I had a hair appointment yesterday and the stylist asked if I wanted some curtain bangs,” another lamented, adding, “If only I had seen this yesterday. She looks so good.”
The princess also sported a couple of bandaged fingers during the visit, which she suffered after playing on the trampoline with her children.
Middleton, who shares Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, with Prince William, was visiting the prison as part of her role as patron of the Forward Trust, to see how inmates and their families are being supported through addiction, ahead of Addiction Awareness Week.
A spokesperson for the royal claimed the injury was “nothing serious.”
