Usher named 2024 Super Bowl halftime performer
Usher has been named a 2024 Super Bowl halftime performer.
“USHER. LAS VEGAS. APPLE MUSIC HALFTIME SHOW. #SBLVIII See you on February 11 on @NFLonCBS!” the NFL tweeted Sunday on X.
In the tweet, the league included a video of Usher, 44, finding out he got the gig.
“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before,” the “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love” said.
“Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”
The game takes place Feb. 11, 2024 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Usher follows Rihanna, who headlined the 2023 halftime show.
Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and 50 Cent performed in 2022.
