‘Golden Bachelor’ Gerry Turner engaged after ‘chaotic’ season?

Has Gerry Turner found The One? The “Golden Bachelor” lead says he’s “pretty excited about what has happened” on his journey of the “Bachelor” senior citizen spinoff.

“So far it’s been chaotic. There’s nice stretches of bliss and great times. And then there’s stretches of waiting and chaos and so forth. So it’s been a bit of everything,” Turner, 72, tells the Post.

“Actually, I look back and reminisce about some of my favorite moments,” he adds, “and I’ve really enjoyed the experience.”

The Indiana native met 22 women on the season who are all vying for his heart. Although he kept mum on the outcome — is he engaged or not? — all signs point to a possible happily ever after.

“I’m in love with everybody I come in contact with. So it’s not like you’ll find me singling out or giving you an indication of what happened,” he teased. “But life is good.”

In three words, he described his season as “chaotic, genuine and blissful.”

Turner married his high school sweetheart Toni in 1972, and they were married for 43 years until her death in 2017. The pair had two daughters, Jenny Young and Angie Warner, who pushed him to sign on for the show.

His contact with his kids and two granddaughters was “very limited” while filming the ABC series. “I’m used to talking and texting with them all the time, daily. Sometimes silly, sometimes serious things. But through the course of the show, my granddaughter Charlee surprised me one day early on and we had a nice conversation and I was able to have dinner with her and my daughter Angie,” he recalls.

“And then on my birthday, which happened [during] the show, I was able to get a call from Angie. And then one other time later in the show, I was kind of feeling lonely. And the producers put together a zoom call for me and it was timed perfectly. And so I had those contacts throughout the show.”

Post-production, his loved ones have continued to have his back — especially when pesky spectators have tried to grill him on what happened.

“I have really close friends. Yesterday, I played a round of golf with my three best buddies and they were peppering me with questions. At the most inopportune times when there was a money putt, they were talking to me about what I did on dates and so forth. So it will be a little difficult to keep things quiet on what happened,” he tells the Post.

“I’m actually quite the opposite with my daughters, my granddaughters,” he adds. “They’re very good at policing, where they see me going down [certain] conversations. And they will call me up and give me the sign. ‘Dad. No, no, no.’ And so there’s no problem there. It’s more with the close friends.”

“The Golden Bachelor” premieres Thursday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
