$2.4B Powerball winner Edwin Castro seen with mystery woman
Edwin Castro, the world’s luckiest man, was spotted at Los Angeles International Airport Thursday with a new mystery woman by his side — and rocking a bold new hairstyle, exclusive photos obtained by The Post show.
Castro, who claimed the record-setting $2.4 billion Powerball prize in February, and his unidentified blonde were both dressed comfortably as they walked through LAX with smiles on their faces and backpacks on.
Castro wore a black T-shirt and black sweats with white Nikes while his companion sported a black crop top, dark leggings, tan buckle sandals and black socks.
The 31-year-old lotto winner debuted a new ‘do, wearing his signature long dark hair in several black-and-white braids in a bun a top his head.
It’s not clear where the jovial pair were heading — but with Castro’s cash, the possibilities are endless.
Castro accepted the lump payout of $997.6 million in February, months after the winning numbers had been announced.
Since his historic win, Castro has dropped a combined $76 million on three, massive luxurious mansions in California, including his most recent purchase earlier this month: a sprawling $47 million seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom, infinity pool-equipped compound in Bel Air.
Castro’s sudden ascent to the 1% has not been without controversy.
His former landlord, Urachi “Reggie” Romero, 47, was sued in February by his former tenant, Jose Rivera, for allegedly stealing the winning ticket from him and giving it to Castro.
Romero told The Post that Rivera showed him the winning ticket but denied that he “stole” it and “refused” to return it to him before supposedly giving it to Castro.
“It could’ve just fallen out of his pocket, but I don’t know how it got to Castro,” Romero said with a shrug.
Castro shot back at Rivera’s lawsuit in May, claiming his attorneys failed to show a clear connection between himself and Romero.
