Beyoncé surprises Taylor Swift at ‘Eras’ film premiere
They are crazy in love with one another.
Beyoncé made a surprise appearance Wednesday at the premiere of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour film.
Donning a rather simple “Style” for the premiere, Beyoncé, 42, showed up wearing a black and chrome jumpsuit with matching black boots and silver sunglasses.
Swift, 33, “Enchanted” her fans with a periwinkle Oscar de la Renta gown flower dress (she is back in her 1989 era after all) and what appeared to be a new haircut.
Following the film, Swift posted a photo of herself and the “Single Ladies” singer thanking her for being “a guiding light.”
“I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce’s influence,” wrote Swift under a photo of the duo throwing popcorn. “The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility.”
“She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale,” continued Swift, referencing a track on her “Fearless” album. “Today was a fairytale.”
Swift and Beyoncé’s friendship began in 2009 after the singer allowed Swift to finish her thank you speech after Kanye West interrupted the “Red” singer and claimed, “Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.”
Other high-profile celebs, including Adam Sandler, Julia Garner, Maren Morris, Flava Flav, Karamo Brown, and Mariska Hargitay, were also in attendance on Wednesday.
Swift’s alleged new beau, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was noticeably absent.
“I appreciate you being here because this night is a core memory for me and you’re a part of it,” Swift told the star-studded audience prior to the film. “Every single person in this theater has been hand-selected and hand-picked and invited to this night because you’ve shown some sort of extra type of support for this tour, and I appreciate that more than you could possibly know.
“I’m always looking out for people with elevated levels of passion, incredible senses of humor on the internet, and attention to detail,” continued the “Cruel Summer” songstress. “These things are very important to me. So thank you for everything you’ve done that just got us all in this one room.”
“I’ve always had fun doing this. I can’t believe I get to do music as a career — that’s crazy,” Swift said, adding that she’s had so much fun on tour and that a large part of that was due to the Eras tour band dancers who were also in the room.
“We did this show rain or shine, in sickness and in health, no matter what was going on in our lives. And we did it with a grin on our face because of what greeted us on the other side,” Swift crooned. “What you guys were doing in the audience — the amount of care and preparation and passion [and] intensity that you put into coming to these shows. … You pulled us out of anything rough that might have been going on in our lives. You let us forget about it for three and a half hours every night on that stage. So thank you so much for doing that for us.
“I think the fans will see — and the dancers, you’ll all see — how much you are main characters in this film. And I love you so much,” concluded Swift. “I appreciate you being here because this night it is a core memory for me and you’re a part of it. And you decided you wanted to spend your evening here with us. So I really hope you have fun. I hope you love it so much.”
