George Santos goes ballistic on pro-Palestinian activist who accosted him while holding a baby

Lying Rep. George Santos (R-NY) went on a profanity-laced tirade in the halls of Congress Friday after an activist confronted him about the “genocide of Palestinians” while the embattled lawmaker carried a baby in his arms.

“He’s an animal! I am holding a child!” Santos screamed, surrounded by reporters as he walked away from where the confrontation took place.

“He is a f—ing terrorist sympathizer!” the enraged representative shouted. “Nobody defending Hamas has any business in this building, whether you are elected or a civilian!”

In another clip of the incident, Santos flagged down Capitol Police officers and pointed out one of two individuals – a man identified as Shabd Singh – who he claimed accosted him.

“Officers, this is the gentleman that was accosting me when I had a two-month-old baby in my hands,” the 35-year-old explained calmly.

“You came in my personal space, yelling at me,“ the lawmaker told the activist before the pair got into a heated back-and-forth on the war in Israel.

“You are human scum!” a newly enraged Santos yelled at Singh.

Singh, listed as the legislative advocacy manager for former Vice President Al Gore’s non-profit Climate Reality Project, was seen being handcuffed by Capitol Police after the incident.

Singh was reportedly asking Santos what he was going to do about the “genocide of Palestinians.”

“This afternoon, the USCP arrested 36 year-old Shabd Khalsa and charged him with simple assault after an officer witnessed him have physical contact with a Congressional Staffer in the Longworth Building,” Capitol Police said in a statement. “The USCP will continue to investigate.”

A podcast on Sikh history, philosophy, and culture apparently hosted by Singh lists his name as “Shabd Singh Khalsa.”

“He accused me of being in his personal space, so I took a step back,” Singh told reporters at the Capitol before being handcuffed. “He was holding a child in his arms and saying that it was inappropriate for me to ask him questions in that scenario. I continued to ask him those questions. He refused to respond.”

Santos claims two activists were “berating the baby” he was holding at the time.

“I’m here to say that you cannot weaponize Jewish pain to continue the mass murder of civilians,” Singh, a former organizer and political associate for the Bernie Sanders for President campaign, said of his reason for being inside the  Longworth House Office Building, which is open to the public.

Santos was heard telling former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) prior to the incident that the baby belonged to one of his staffers.

“A pair of terrorist sympathizers got in my face, cursed at me, screaming and berating the baby in my arms,” Santos posted on X after the incident. ”Here’s what I have to say: Elected or unelected, terrorist sympathizers in the halls of Congress are unacceptable.”

“Lock him up,” Santos wrote in a separate post showing Singh handcuffed and being led away by authorities.

The Long Island lawmaker is facing 23 federal criminal counts related to an alleged scheme to steal the identities of campaign donors and rack up tens of thousands of dollars on their credit cards without authorization.
