Justin Timberlake turns Instagram comments off amid Britney Spears’ book fallout
Cry him a river.
Justin Timberlake has turned the comments off on his Instagram profile amid Britney Spears’ bombshell allegations against him in her new memoir “The Woman in Me.”
A source told Page Six exclusively that the *NSYNC member made the decision because of the “hateful, disgusting things people were saying” on his page.
The Post has contacted reps for Spears and Timberlake for comment. The “Toxic” singer and “Sexyback” crooner dated from 1999 to 2002.
In her book, Spears claims Timberlake got her pregnant in the early 2000s, but the pair decided to proceed with an abortion because he didn’t want to be a father.
She also called him out for using a blaccent around “Pony” singer Ginuwine, which has gone viral thanks to actress Michelle Williams mimicking Timberlake in her audiobook narration of Spears’ book.
“His band, *NSYNC, was what people back then called ‘so pimp,’” Spears writes on Page 57 of the book.
“They were white boys, but they loved hip-hop,” she wrote. “To me, that’s what separated them from the Backstreet Boys, who seemed very consciously to position themselves as a white group. *NSYNC hung out with black artists. Sometimes I thought they tried too hard to fit in.”
Timberlake allegedly cheated on the “Stronger” singer with “another celebrity” during their relationship, and Spears admitted to having an affair with dancer and choreographer Wade Robson.
Timberlake has not publicly addressed any of Spears’ accusations. However, a source told the Daily Mail that he is “not at all happy” about the claims, but has not reached out to her to talk about it.
Meanwhile, Spears celebrated her “historic” book release Tuesday in a since-deleted nude Instagram post, as the tell-all sits atop Amazon’s Best Sellers and Barnes and Noble’s Best Sellers lists.
“It’s happening !!! My book is the highest-selling celebrity memoir in history and it’s only day 1!!!,” she captioned the post.
“Thank you to the fans who have been so supportive !!! Love you all !!! #TheWomanInMe @gallerybooks @simonandschuster”
