SIDWELL PRAISE FOR JAMES MILNER

Former Brighton midfielder Steve Sidwell was quick to praise James Milner after his side’s 2-0 home win over Ajax in the UEFA Europa League.

“What a player he is,” Sidwell said on TNT Sports. “I played with him at Villa. What a career, and he is still going to the end.

“It’s not about what he does on the pitch, but what he does in the dressing room and in and around the training ground.

“That experience that he’s going to be bringing without even putting a pair of boots on.”

Milner said: “It was important to get that first win for sure, and especially at home.

“You look at the squad. There’s a lot of quality, and you need that with the amount of games.

“We have an attractive style of play and we work a lot with the ball. The manager demands perfection and he keeps driving us on.”
