Prince Harry, Meghan Markle took vacation to ‘reignite their spark’: expert

Sounds beachy keen.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took a few days to relax and unwind earlier this month on a swanky Caribbean isle after jetting off to New York City for World Mental Health Day.

A relationship expert has claimed that the getaway was a way to “reignite their spark” and have “enhanced intimacy” with one another following their busy schedule.

Love guru Sally Baker explained to the Mirror recently: “It’s often said that geography is not the solution when a relationship is experiencing problems or hitting roadblocks.”

She added: “And that’s generally true — moving or traveling to a new destination will not magically resolve underlying issues.”

“A trip together to a luxury destination allows you to focus on each other without the distractions of work, chores, social obligations,” the therapist added.

Baker stated that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s romantic vacay on the island of Canouan in St. Vincent and the Grenadines can create “shared experiences that can enhance intimacy and communication.”

“Destination holidays are much more effective at relationship enrichment than just talking about problems,” she said. “For relationships that are not in crisis mode, a change of scenery and break from regular routines can provide a beneficial reset and rejuvenation.”

The couple had flown to the tropics without their two kids: Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2.

The “Suits” alum, 42, and Harry, 39, married in 2018 and moved to Montecito, Calif. in 2020.

They’ve endured a lot as a couple, including stepping back as senior members of the royal family, losing their Spotify deal and more.

The twosome have also been embroiled in a deep feud with members of The Firm, including Prince William, Kate Middleton and King Charles.

The Invictus Games founder further deepened the rift with the publication of his memoir, “Spare.”

In the 400-page book, the duke referred to William, 41, as his “arch-nemesis” and noted how his older brother physically attacked him.

In one excerpt, Harry alleged he fought with William at Nottingham Cottage over Markle in 2019, with William calling the actress “difficult,” “rude” and “abrasive.”

Another tidbit from the memoir includes how he felt the first time he met stepmom Queen Camilla. Harry compared seeing her to getting injected with a needle.

“This is nothing. Close your eyes and you won’t even feel it,” Harry wrote of meeting Camilla, whom he even gave the moniker of his “wicked stepmother.”
