‘General Hospital’ star Tyler Christopher’s final Instagram post
Soap opera star Tyler Christopher said he had the time of his life earlier this month — in his final Instagram post before his shocking death Tuesday at the age of 50.
“Another great day of events organized by @iamnikkidubu, Veronica, and @thecalibxexperience,” the “General Hospital” alum captioned an Oct. 3 post alongside friends and fans at an event hosted by CaliBx Experience.
“I hope those who attended also had the time of their lives,” he added.
The intimate and immersive meet-and-greet took place on Sept. 30 in Midtown Manhattan.
Fans had the opportunity to participate in a 90-minute question-and-answer session with Christopher, as well as take pictures and dine with him.
“We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Tyler Christopher,” CaliBx Experience’s Nikki Williams and Veronica White told The Post in a statement Tuesday.
“We were fortunate to have the opportunity to host a fan event with him, and he left an indelible mark on everyone present. Tyler will be remembered not only for his remarkable talent but also for his warmth and genuine connection with his fans.”
They continued, “His legacy will undoubtedly endure in the hearts of all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be greatly missed, and our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and fans during this difficult time.”
Christopher’s manager, Chi Muoi Lo, confirmed his death to The Post in a statement Tuesday.
“This news was incredibly shocking, and I am devastated by his loss. He was a very gifted actor, and more importantly, an amazing friend. My heart goes out to his friends and family who loved him so much,” he wrote.
Christopher’s “General Hospital” co-star, Maurice Benard, claimed on Instagram that Christopher died Tuesday following a “cardiac event in his San Diego apartment.”
“Tyler was a truly talented individual that lit up the screen in every scene he performed and relished bringing joy to his loyal fans through his acting. Tyler was a sweet soul and wonderful friend to all of those who knew him.”
He added, “Tyler was an advocate for better mental health and substance use treatment who openly spoke about his struggles with bipolar depression and alcohol. We are beyond devastated by the loss of our dear friend and pray for his children and his father.”
