James Corden lands SiriusXM radio show after ‘Late Late Show’ exit

James Corden is moving from “Late Late”-night television to the world of satellite radio.

After CBS’s “The Late Late Show With James Corden” ended in April after eight years, Corden has inked a deal with SiriusXM for his first-ever radio show. “This Life of Mine With James Corden” is expected to premiere early next year.

The series will feature “in-depth conversations with the world’s biggest stars discussing the people, places, moments, and memories that made them who they are today,” SiriusXM said in a press release announcing Corden’s new venture on Monday.

“I am thrilled to be joining SiriusXM,” Corden said in a statement. “It’s a dream to have a space to engage in deep conversations with the people whose work and talent I greatly admire.”

The London-born Corden moved back to his native England following his departure from “The Late Late Show.” He had his share of controversy over the years regarding his alleged off-screen behavior.

CBS is replacing “The Late Late Show” with “After Midnight,” a new show hosted by stand-up comedian Taylor Tomlinson that’s expected to premiere early next year.

Corden hosted “The Late Late Show” from 2015 to 2023 with a time slot starting at 12:35 a.m., following “The Late Show” hosts David Letterman, who retired in May 2015, and his successor, Stephen Colbert.

Corden’s show was known for its variety format, particularly Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” segments, in which he drove around LA with celebrities, including Paul McCartney, as they sung songs and joked around.
