Will Smith, Jada slam claims he had sex with Duane Martin: ‘Ridiculous’
Will and Jada Pinkett Smith are back to defending their relationship.
In a new interview, the actress reacted again to the allegations that Smith and his “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” co-star Duane Martin had sex years ago.
“Let me just say this,” Pinkett Smith, 52, said in a preview for Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” on Wednesday. “It’s ridiculous, right? And it’s nonsense.”
Pinkett Smith’s declaration came after host Charlamagne tha God asked about her memoir “Worthy” and how fans suspected that the pair were in an open marriage, swingers or even gay since they got married in 1997.
One day earlier, Smith’s alleged former assistant, Brother Bilaal, claimed he walked in on Smith, 55, and Martin having sex in Martin’s dressing room in the past.
“I opened the door to Duane’s dressing room and that’s when I see Duane having anal sex with Will,” Bilaal alleged while appearing on “Unwine With Tasha K.”
On Tuesday, Smith’s reps vehemently denied the allegation, calling them “unequivocally false.”
“This story is completely fabricated and the claim is unequivocally false,” a rep told TMZ. Pinkett Smith went on to tell TMZ “we suin!” when she was stopped out in NYC.
According to Pinkett Smith, the entire rumor was based on a “money shakedown.”
“And this is a person that tried a shakedown,” Pinkett Smith continued on “The Breakfast Club’s” latest episode. “A money shakedown that didn’t work.”
Pinkett Smith claims that Bilaal reportedly started the rumor because he was upset with the “Emancipation” star for allegedly not paying him properly for his help on Will’s 2021 book.
“It’s based around this person’s idea that they, in some way, were doing business around Will’s book, and that they spent money, or what have you, and that they needed to be compensated. So he already tried to do this money shakedown,” Pinkett Smith said.
“Will was willing to give him a certain amount, and he didn’t take it. So, this whole situation is based on that.”
The actress also asserted the notion that she and the Oscar winner are planning to “take legal action.”
“Because it’s one thing to have your opinion about somebody, versus just making up salacious, malicious stories,” she told Charlamagne tha God. “So, that’s actionable. So we ‘gon roll with that.”
The Post has reached out to Bilaal for comment.
A source close to Smith’s family told People on Wednesday that “they’ve dealt with — and ignored — innuendo and homophobic rumors for years.”
The insider added: “Will and Jada are united that this is just another person trying to use their fame for advancement. They will sue him.”
