Meghan Markle reveals favorite holiday tradition with Harry, kids

Nothing extravagant here! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s holiday traditions with their children — son Archie, 4, and daughter Lilbet, 2 — is something most parents can relate to.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, revealed her favorite Christmas activity with her family while attending Variety’s Power of Women event in Los Angeles on Thursday.

“We’re creating new ones now that our little ones are growing up. And we’re enjoying every moment of it,” she told E! News on the red carpet. “I love trimming and decorating the tree with my children.”

She added to People: “Our little ones are little, and we’re enjoying every moment of it.”

In November 2021, Markle previously opened up about her Thanksgiving plans during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

“I love to cook. We’ll be home and just sort of relax and settle in. It’s our second Thanksgiving at home in California, so it will be nice,” she told the host.

As for Halloween, Archie and Lili were “not into it at all” at the time.

Archie had a dinosaur costume but only wore the outfit for “about five minutes,” while their little girl dressed up as a skunk, “like Flower from Bambi.”

Markle and Harry moved to Montecito, Calif., in 2020 after stepping down as senior members of the royal family. The former actress has only been back to the UK to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September 2022.

She and Harry did not cross the pond earlier this week to celebrate King Charles III’s 75th birthday. Harry’s rep claimed that the couple never received an invite, but its been reported that he did call his father to wish him well on the big day and the pair are trying to mend their bond — unlike Harry’s relationship with older brother Prince William.

Markle retired from acting after marrying Harry in 2018 at Windsor Castle. However, she spoke about her USA Network show “Suits” — and how it’s surged on Netflix with audiences as of late — while attending the Thursday event.

“Isn’t that wild?” she told Variety. “It was great to work on, such a great cast and crew. We had a really fun time. I was on it for seven seasons, so quite a bit.”

She added: “But it’s hard to find a show you can binge-watch that many episodes of these days, so that could have something to do with it. But good shows are everlasting.”

Markle starred on the drama alongside Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, Rick Hoffman and Gina Torres. She also met good friend Abigail Spencer on the series.

Markle played paralegal Rachel Zane. She exited the show in 2017, while it continued on for two more seasons until 2019.

The “Suits” cast was invited to her nuptials in England. However, they reportedly did not make the afterparty reception cut.
