Wayne Brady hit by drunk driver, involved in physical altercation
Wayne Brady was hit by a drunken driver Sunday in Malibu, The Post can confirm.
The 51-year-old multi-talented personality was driving on the Pacific Coast Highway when another car backed into him.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department tells The Post that while exchanging information with Brady outside of their vehicles, the intoxicated driver heard sirens and attempted to run away.
Brady tried to stop them from leaving the scene, and a “minor physical altercation ensued,” authorities said.
After the fight, the other driver ran off into a nearby neighborhood where sheriffs found them 20 minutes later and arrested the driver for battery, DUI, and hit-and-run.
The five-time Emmy winner did not report any injuries, The Post can confirm.
The Post has contacted reps for Brady for comment.
Brady has yet to address the crash on his social media.
The beloved, laid back “Let’s Make a Deal” host came out as pansexual in August, revealing to fans that he’s struggled to define his sexuality.
“I am pansexual,” he told People at the time. “Bisexual — with an open mind,” he clarified.
“I came to pansexual because — and I know that I’m completely messing up the dictionary meaning — but to me, pan means being able to be attracted to anyone who identifies as gay, straight, bi, transsexual or non-binary. Being able to be attracted across the board,” Brady continued.
“There’s a lot of therapy that I’m doing right now. I wish I didn’t care what people think of me, but the fact of the matter is, I do care,” he admitted. “Once I opened that door to myself though, I had to start learning about myself, and I had to start owning up to things that maybe I’d either repressed, suppressed, or just didn’t wanna deal with.”
