How Paris Hilton shocked her family with London’s birth at Thanksgiving
Pass the turkey — and the new baby!
Paris Hilton shared how she shocked her family with the introduction of her newborn daughter, London, on Thanksgiving.
The 42-year-old businesswoman, who welcomed London via surrogate with her husband, Carter Reum, also 42, recalled the big reveal on “Live with Kelly and Mark” on Monday.
Hilton said that only her parents and younger sister Nicky knew the couple were expecting another child — but they didn’t know when.
“It was before the turkey,” Hilton told married couple Kelly Ripa, 53, and Mark Consuelos, 52, about the announcement of London’s arrival.
“This was like around 5 o’clock at night, and Carter got everyone in the living room,” she explained.
“He’s like, ‘Oh, I have a surprise.’ Everyone thought like a magician was coming — like we have a performer coming in.”
“So everyone’s all excited like, ‘Okay?’ and then I walk in just holding, like, a pink blanket with the baby, and everybody is sitting there like, ‘What?’” Hilton recalled.
Hilton and Reum tied the knot in 2021.
They surprised the world — and even Paris’ mother, Kathy — when they welcomed their son, Phoenix, via surrogate in January.
Hilton also explained why she keeps the news of her children quiet until they are born.
“I just feel like my life has been so public for over two decades now, and I just wanted something just to be, like, private between my husband and I, and to not have the whole world coming in and people talking about my son before he was here, safe on this planet,” she said of Phoenix’s arrival.
Hilton told the world about London in an Instagram post Friday.
“Thankful for my baby girl,” she captioned a photo of a pink onesie that displayed the child’s moniker underneath a teddy bear and pink sunglasses.
