1 Killed in Stabbing at Macy’s in Philadelphia
One person was killed and two others were injured when they were stabbed by a man inside the Macy’s store in Center City Philadelphia on Monday, the authorities said.
A suspect fled the store on a subway train after 11 a.m., and he was found a short time later at the Somerset Station, northeast of the store, where he was arrested, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority said in a statement.
The Macy’s store is on Market Street, across from Philadelphia’s City Hall.
It was not immediately clear what led to the stabbing, or whether the victims were customers or store employees. The conditions of the other two victims were not immediately released.
This is a developing story.
