Cop charged with attacking sex shop worker in dildo dustup
An Oklahoma sheriff’s commander has been charged with beating up a sex shop worker — in a rage over his partner wanting to buy a toy penis larger than his own manhood.
David DeWitt, a Bentley-driving commander of the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, went to Christy’s Toy Box in Oklahoma City with a woman shortly before midnight Monday and began arguing about sex toys, Fox 25 reported.
Every time she pointed out a desired object in the store, the lawman got angry and said she did not need a fake penis that struck her fancy because it was “bigger than him,” the clerk reportedly told cops.
The worker intervened when he saw Dewitt raising his hands like he was about to backhand the woman and asked him to calm down and leave the X-rated shop, police said.
“F—k you, I’m a cop!” DeWitt allegedly snapped back.
When the couple brought some merchandise to the counter, the clerk asked DeWitt if he would like to buy some batteries for the adult toy.
“What the f—k you say to me, fat boy?” the incensed cop asked, according to a police report cited by the outlet.
After the worker replied, “Dude, get the f–k out of my face!” DeWitt allegedly went behind the counter and punched the clerk repeatedly in the face and rib cage area.
DeWitt also threw candy and mints across the store — just for the worker to toss a boxed sex toy at him as he began leaving the premises, according to the report.
“Call the f—king cops! I’m an officer of the law,” DeWitt reportedly shouted at him.
“You don’t f—king assault me. I can have you arrested, jailed to where you never get out.”
The victim told police that DeWitt then sped off in a black convertible Bentley with a license plate that read INVICTA — Latin for undefeatable or unconquerable, KFOR reported.
DeWitt was pulled over for speeding and about to be let go with a warning when a state trooper heard an alert about the dildo dustup.
The trooper notified the Oklahoma City Police Department that they had the suspect at the scene, where he was then taken into custody without incident and booked into Cleveland County Jail.
DeWitt was charged with misdemeanor simple assault, KFOR reported.
“I have called him and I have talked to him briefly. I said, ‘Hey, why don’t you take a few days,’” Pottawatomie County Sheriff Mike Booth told the outlet, adding that DeWitt has been suspended with pay pending a probe.
The suspect, who has worked at the sheriff’s office for about six years, but also is the CEO of a private security firm in Oklahoma City called Elite Protection Services, according to the outlet.
DeWitt, his company and Christie’s Toy Box declined to comment to KFOR.
