He is survived by his wife, actress Ami Brabson, and sons Michael, Isaiah, and John Wesley, brother Charles Jennings, and his mother Sally Braugher.

The two-time Emmy winner was known for his roles as Detective Frank Pembleton on “Homicide: Life on the Street” and Captain Raymond Holt on “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”

“Can’t believe you’re gone so soon,” Crews wrote Tuesday on Instagram.

“I’m honored to have known you, laughed with you, worked with you and shared 8 glorious years watching your irreplaceable talent. This hurts. You left us too soon,” the “White Chicks” alum, 55, went on.

He added that Braugher “taught me so much” and thanked him for “your wisdom, your advice, your kindness and your friendship.”

Chelsea Peretti — who portrayed Gina Linetti in the comedy — also shared her condolences, writing: “You were so funny to me and the epitome of still waters run deep.”

“I will always cherish our conversations, often with me hanging in your doorway barring your exit, and the insane opportunity to be your sidekick,” the 45-year-old wrote.

“Is it weird that I am also grieving for what Captain Holt meant to Gina? I really hoped and knew I would see you again. Hate that I won’t.”

The show’s official Instagramaccount also shared a heartfelt photo of the late actor in his TV police uniform.

“Always our Captain. We love you, Andre,” the caption read.
