Ronnie O’Sullivan loses to Marco Fu in lucrative Macau exhibition snooker event, Judd Trump and Mark Williams advance

World No. 1 Ronnie O’Sullivan was eliminated from the invitational Macau Masters at the quarter-final stage after losing 6-2 to Marco Fu on Wednesday.

Fu will next take on Jack Lisowski in the semi-finals on Thursday after ‘Jackpot’ ran out a 6-2 winner against Kyren Wilson.

Meanwhile, Judd Trump confronts fellow former world champion Mark Williams in the other semi-final after he hit a century in a 6-1 win over Ding, while Williams managed to find some solid form in a 6-3 victory over Si Jiahui.

The winner of the event on Friday will earn a £150,000 winner’s cheque, with appearance money worth over £35,000 to each player.
