Meghan Markle ‘furious’ at the royal family over ‘different rules for her’: expert
Meghan Markle is “furious” that the royals seem to have a “different” set of rules for her than the rest of the royal family, according to an expert.
Royal expert and commentator Neil Sean drew comparisons between the Duchess of Sussex and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, who has recently been an active figure in TV interviews.
“The thing that really riles Meghan is that Fergie pops up on things like the ITV daytime show ‘This Morning,’ ‘Loose Women’ and billing herself as the Duchess of York, selling books and possibly doing adverts all under the Royal Family,” Sean told GB News.
“Meghan and Harry seemingly don’t understand why it’s a different rule for her.”
Harry and Meghan shut the door on royal life in 2020 when they packed up and moved to California in search of privacy.
The couple has since released a slew of projects detailing their struggles with royal life, including Harry’s bombshell memoir, “Spare,” their shocking sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey, as well as their Netflix doc, “Harry & Meghan.”
Harry and Meghan have been heavily criticized for sharing private details of their relationships with royal family members.
Ferguson, for her part, has also regularly appeared on TV shows and has written several books in recent years.
In contrast, her TV presence has not been criticized as much as the Sussexes’ has.
The Post has reached out to reps for the Sussexes for comment.
The Sussexes were recently warned that they must “deliver” next year as Hollywood has “probably had enough of them.”
“Something is beginning to unwind at the heart of Meghan and Harry,” PR expert Mark Borkowski told the Daily Mail earlier this month.
“I think 2024 is going to be seismic, either because they’re going to do something to recover and find a new positive tactic or it’s going to be the undoing of the brand.”
“It can only go one or two ways. It can’t stay where it is at the moment. Because it’s clearly not working,” he added.
Harry and Meghan have signed a handful of lucrative deals this year, most of which have caused the ongoing royal rift to widen.
The “Suits” alum signed with William Morris Endeavor (WME) CEO Ari Emanuel and his team in April and has recently teased several “exciting” projects she’s got in the works.
