Riley Keough pays tribute to Lisa Marie a year after her death

Riley Keough paid tribute to her late mom, Lisa Marie Presley, one year after her passing.

On Friday, the granddaughter of Elvis Presley, 34, posted a throwback photo of herself at a young age, sitting next to Lisa Marie at a party.

The “Daisy Jones & the Six” star captioned it with a simple heart emoji.

Lisa Marie died on January 12 last year, after suffering from cardiac arrest. She was 54.

The medical examiner would later reveal that she actually passed from “a small bowel obstruction caused by scar tissue that developed after a previous bariatric surgery years ago.”

The autopsy also listed “signs of cardiopulmonary resuscitation,” including a defibrillator imprint on her left back, a chest abrasion and a rib fracture.

Keough will soon be publishing her mother’s unfinished memoir later this year.

“Few people had the opportunity to know who my mom really was, other than being Elvis’s daughter,” Keough said in a statement released Thursday by publisher Random House.

She continued: “I was lucky to have had that opportunity and working on preparing her autobiography for publication has been a privilege, albeit a bittersweet one. I’m so excited to share my mom now, at her most vulnerable and most honest, and in doing so, I do hope that readers come to love my mom as much as I did.”

The actress will also be dropping an audiobook version and the book will be released on Oct. 15.

Months after Lisa Marie’s death, a public feud over her estate has gone down between Keough and her grandma, Priscilla Presley.

Priscilla, 78, had filed a suit at the time of the tragedy that questioned the authenticity of her late daughter’s will.

The situation reportedly became tense between Priscilla and Keough, with the two allegedly not talking to each other for a time.

The pair reached an agreement over the estate this past May, and the “Zola” star was named the sole trustee of Lisa Marie’s property.

The “To Whom It May Concern” singer’s last public appearance was at the 2023 Golden Globes Awards ceremony, just two days prior to her tragic passing.

However, she appeared unsteady on her feet at the event. She was there to support Austin Butler, who scored the award for Best Actor in a Drama, Motion Picture for his portrayal of Elvis in Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 about her King of Rock and Roll father.
